Plan the endpoints and the pathway
Start with a floor plan or a simple endpoint list. We review cable routes, mounting positions, patch-panel space and access before selecting materials. Existing runs can be traced and inspected when reuse is practical.
- Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A work matched to the application and existing installation.
- Jacks, patch panels, patching and defined legacy voice connections.
- Labels that connect room locations, panel positions and project records.
- Pathway and penetration work coordinated with the responsible trades.
What does “tested” mean?

FryAVSI provides basic tracing and wiremap work. Qualification or certification requires a separately agreed test scope and appropriate equipment or testing resource. State formal acceptance or manufacturer-warranty requirements while the quote is being prepared.
Work around an active site
For an occupied office, retail space or warehouse, we agree on access, work areas and service interruptions. Unknown cables are identified before removal or repatching; disconnected does not necessarily mean abandoned.
A useful closeout shows what changed, the endpoint IDs, the actual test level and any unresolved items. Share ceiling heights, likely route lengths and your target date so the scope can account for access equipment and sequencing.
